School of Modern DongBa Painting

The Modern DongBa Painting and Calligraphy Research Society
was founded by a group of ethnic NaXi artists in early 1980's.
The original 8 members were formally educated and trained intellects.
They select traditional subjects deeply rooted in their mystical
Ancient DongBa Heritage and express their insights and spontaneous
feelings with vibrant ethnic colors and forceful brushstrokes.
The products are calligraphic paintings, the true link between
art and calligraphy.
