The Ancient DongBa Manuscript

The Manuscripts is a collection of ancient scriptures written in the
NaXi Pictographic Scripts. The entire work, consisting of 20,000 volumes,
is an encyclopedia of the NaXi people documenting the NaXi way of life, thoughts
and knowledge of the natural world.

Partial collections are in museums, libraries, research institutes, and private
sectors around the world. Notable collections in the USA include The Library of
Congress and Harvard Yenching Library.

UNESCO listed the NaXi Ancient DongBa Manuscript as World Memory Legacy in 2003.
